김광수 대표는 지난 30일 자신의 트위터에 “화영의 최근 행동은 소속사에 어려운 상황을 만들었다. 이런 이유로 화영과 계약해지하기로 결정했다”(Hwayoung’s recent behaviour has created a difficult situation in Core Contents Media. For this reason, I had to terminate her contract)라며 영문 글을 남겼다.
하지만 김 대표는 “만약 화영이 자신의 행동에 대해 사과한다면 티아라 멤버들, 스태프들과 복귀 가능성에 대해 논의해보겠다”(However, if Hwayoung apologizes for her actions, I will discuss the possibility of her return with my staff and with the members of T-ara)고 입장을 전했다.
또 “그 전에 화영이 자신이 저지른 일에 대해 책임을 지는 것이 중요하다”(Before that happens, it is important that she accepts responsibility for what she has done)고 덧붙이기도 했다.
김광수 대표 입장표명에 네티즌들은 “티아라도 입장 표명을 해야 한다”, “화영이한테도 들어보고 싶다” 등 반응을 나타냈다.
