“It’s Not That Big of a Deal.”
그건 별 일 아니야.
“별 거 아니야.”라고 말할 때 쓰는 표현입니다. 주로 “(It's) no big deal.”이라는 표현을 많이 사용합니다.
Jinho: Betty, I’m really parched. Could I have a sip of your water?
Betty: Um... I don’t know. I’m not really comfortable sharing drinks with others.
Jinho: Come on, Betty. I’m dying of thirst.
Betty: If you’re that thirsty, I’ll just buy you a bottle of water.
Jinho: You could just share with me instead of being so selfish.
Betty: I’m not selfish. I was just taught that sharing food and drinks can spread germs.
Jinho: I guess, but in Korea everyone shares. It’s not that big of a deal.
Betty: I know. I’m sorry. I hope I didn’t offend you.
진호: 베티, 나 정말 목말라. 네 물 한 모금만 마셔도 돼?
베티: 음... 잘 모르겠네. 난 다른 사람들과 음료를 나누어 마시는 게 그다지 편하지 않아.
진호: 그러지 말고, 베티. 난 정말 목말라 죽을 지경이야.
베티: 그렇게 목이 마르면, 내가 물 한 병 사줄게.
진호: 그렇게 이기적으로 굴지 말고 물 좀 나눠 마시면 되잖아.
베티: 난 이기적이지 않아. 그저 음식이나 음료를 나누어 먹으면 병균을 퍼뜨릴 수 있다고 배웠을 뿐이야.
진호: 그럴 것 같아. 하지만 한국에서는 다들 서로 나누어 먹어. 그건 별 일 아니야.
베티: 알고 있어. 미안해. 나 때문에 기분 나쁘지 않기를 바래.
