“야채를 어디에 두나요?”라고 묻는 질문으로 ‘물건 등을 어느 장소에 두다’라고 표현할 때 keep, put을 사용합니다. 또한 ‘마음에 두다, 새기다’도 keep을 사용하여 keep something in mind로 표현할 수 있습니다.
Jinho: Wow, you bought a lot of groceries. Let me help you put them up.
Peter: Thanks. That's nice of you.
Jinho: Where do you keep your vegetables?
Peter: I keep them in the vegetable box in the refrigerator.
Jinho: Well, what are these boxes under the table?
Peter: They are for recycling. I usually put paper, cans and plastic in them.
Jinho: Hmm, you've had lots of coke and pizza. I'm telling you this as a sincere friend, don't eat too much pizza and coke.
Peter: Oh, boy, there you go with those dos and don'ts again! Okay, I'll keep that in mind.
진호: 와, 너 식료품 많이 샀구나. 내가 정리하는 거 도와줄게.
피터: 고마워. 그렇게 해주면 좋지.
진호: 야채는 어디에 둬?
피터: 냉장고 야채박스 안에 두는데.
진호: 근데, 이 식탁 밑에 있는 박스들은 뭐야?
피터: 재활용할 것들이야. 보통 종이, 캔, 플라스틱을 거기에 넣어 둬.
진호: 흠, 너 콜라하고 피자 많이 먹었구나. 진실된 친구로서 말하는데 콜라하고 피자는 너무 많이 먹지 마.
피터: 오, 이런, 또 기본 규칙에 대한 이야기를 하는 구나! 알았어, 명심할게.
